In the year 2000, Marvel launched a new line of “Ultimate” comics that rebooted the entire universe with modern story telling and new twists. The primary comics, Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four and The Ultimates (an Avengers team, essentially) were almost entirely collected in oversized hardcover (OHC) which we have at our NYC location.
Some of the characters later appeared in the mainstream marvel universe – most famously Miles Morales – so we have a note in the primary Marvel reading order at a good point to make sure you’ve caught up with any Ultimate comics you might be interested in.
